ChildData consists of four databases on the care, education, health, and welfare of children and young people:
1. Catalogue books, reports and journal articles (over 66,00 entries), all with abstracts covering the literature on children and young people. Includes the full text of NCB's Highlight series and all articles from Children & Society, NCB's academic journal published jointly with Wiley.
2. Organisations a database of over 3,000 organisations, national and international fully keyworded and with website and e-mail links
3. Children in the News abstracted summaries (more than 22,000 records) of newspaper coverage of children's and young poeple's issues since 1996, including law reports, editorials, news stories, features and opinion pieces.
4. Conferences and Events over 7,000 entries detailing past and forthcoming national and international events in the child care field, with full contact details. Developed by NCB's Library and Information Service.
ChildData is a data resource fro researchers, childcare professionals and practitioners, health and social workers, students and teachers, youth workers and educational psychologists. ChildData is updated monthly on the web.
