Chest negotiated Agreements are formal contracts, almost all for site licences, between Chest and suppliers of IT products (software and data) where the staff and students of an Institution may use the products covered at no charge other than an annual fee.
All UK Higher Education Institutions and Research Councils may participate in Chest Agreements and most have been negotiated so that UK Further Education Institutions and third level colleges in the Republic of Ireland may participate. Additionally, Suppliers may agree that sites known as Associated Sites may participate but these are agreed individually with the Suppliers.
An organisation not on the Chest list may apply to be an Associated Site if it meets the criteria detailed here:
Becoming a Chest Associated Site
Chest reserves the right to reject applications for membership.
Each Institution has either one or two nominated Contacts - a Chest Site Contact for Software agreements and a Chest Data Contact. If your contact details change please complete the Change of Details Form and return it to Chest Help.
